What is Sponsoring and why do we need it?

Despite being connected to a school, our club receives no money from the school district. All funds we raise (roughly $20,000 annually) are donated by community members or provided by sponsors. The difference between a donation and sponsorship is both the amount of money, and how often we get the money. In order to be a sponsor, an individual, business, company, etc. needs to donate a minimum of $250 periodically (usually annually). Sponsors receive certain benefits such as getting their company logo or family name placed on our robot, banner, t-shirts, etc. The more money a sponsor provides us, the higher their level and the more benefits they receive. Information on the different tiers of sponsorship are listed below.
