Arizona residents can give directly to a public school or program (e.g., a robotics team) and claim a dollar-for-dollar, nonrefundable state tax credit—up to $200 for single/head-of-household or $400 for married filing jointly. If the credit exceeds your tax, you can carry it forward up to five years. Contributions made Jan 1–Apr 15 can be applied to either the prior or current tax year. This credit supports qualified extracurricular activities and similar programs; you don’t need a student enrolled to give. Claim it on Arizona Form 322.
